What is work-life balance?

Google searches for "work life balance" have recently hit an all-time high.

But with all this interest, this search doesn't provide a lot of answers. In fact, the top results offer several different definitions for what exactly work life balance even means.

There are plenty of tips for how to have a "better" work life balance. Notes on mental health and lifestyle hacks abound.

But what is work life balance? What does it mean? Is it achievable?

I have a vested interest because my work talks a lot about, well...work.

We sell clothes that people wear to work after all. And this summer, we're running a campaign centered around this conversation. We're asking things like...

What does it look like to step away?
How do you turn work off?
What do you do to disconnect during the week?

Some people have great answers to these questions. Some don't. But I'd be curious to hear yours.

What do you think "work life balance" really means? And what does a "successful" work life balance look like for you?
